Product Development Technician – Autonomous Machinery

What’s the Job

Duties:

  • Assisting in the customisation of autonomous machinery for end users, as part of the mechanical development team
  • Preparing technical drawings, plans and designs for mechanical engineering work
  • Testing and evaluating machinery, systems and accessories for suitability in the field
  • Assembling and installing new and modified mechanical assemblies, components, hydraulic power systems and third-party equipment.
  • Collecting and analyzing data, carrying out complex computations and preparing diagrams to support product development
  • Reading, interpreting, following and communicating on written job instructions
  • Estimating material costs, quantities, and machine requirements.
  • Planning, prioritizing, and managing review sessions with the team, ensuring timely completion of product optimization operations.
  • Ensuring that designs and finished work are within specifications, regulations and contract provisions

 

Who are you:

Skills and experiences

  • At least 3 years of relevant industry experience as an autonomous machinery technician
  • Proficiency in the latest agricultural equipment technology, including robotics and automation
  • Experience in mechanical design, testing, data collection and analysis
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work independently and in a team
  • A flexible and positive attitude
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures in an agricultural environment
  • Proficiency in German or Dutch is a strong advantage due to partnerships with European businesses
